What is being a CDO?
It is being a person who has a Dream (purpose/vision) and then works on having/making it come true.
If you were a CEO, you would be working on fulfilling the purpose, vision and goals of your company. As a CDO, you work in the same way but it is focused on your purpose, vision and goals. You are the one in charge. You are the leader.
A CDO takes on their Dreams as a vehicle for their growth and development. Their Dreams require them to change and to learn in order to fulfill them. A CDO focuses on developing their potential to make their ultimate contribution, not their own survival.
How do you become a CDO?
- The first step is having a Dream (a purpose/vision); something you are passionate about, that uses you completely, and you believe you can do. When you find your passion it will wake you up and tell you what to do. It consistently hungers for expression and fulfillment.
- Second, is organizing around that Dream. It is important to set up structures; such as, goals and action steps.
- Third is developing yourself and having the capacities and knowledge necessary to be a CDO. This is a combination of personal development and education.
- Fourth is generating a community. It is necessary to be able to promote your Dream and get the support necessary for its fulfillment. This would be a combination of coaches, colleagues and clients.
This program will introduce you to the power of being a Chief Dream Officer and leave you with an action-plan that will support you in becoming one.
"After completing the 4-week TeleClass, I feel like I have really made a new commitment to building my business. I've labelled my dream position and am working towards it.
The most important thing I've gained is realizing the importance of writing down weekly goals and following through with an accomplishment list at the end of each week. It sounds simple and I knew I should do it, but it didn't become ingrained until I turned it in as homework each week.
During the 4-week period, I gained momentum and reached my year-end goal, three months early. I am truly passionate about my business, what I am doing, and the fact that I'm helping others work toward their dreams as well!"
